DENVER — Governor Polis issued an Executive Order extending the COVID-19 disaster declaration. The disaster declaration allows agencies to continue to access state and federal funding for recovery efforts, to rapidly respond to changes in the public health environment, and to support the healthcare system to remain appropriately staffed and prepared to respond to public health.
DENVER - Today, alongside by families and individuals who are dealing with high energy bills, Governor Polis, Will Toor Executive Director of the Colorado Energy Office, Patty Salazar Executive Director of the Department of Regulatory Agencies announced a new initiative directing state agencies and utilities, to take action to provide relief from high energy costs for Colorado homes and businesses. The Governor has directed the Public Utilities Commission (PUC), which regulates state utilities, and the Colorado Energy Office (CEO) to implement several immediate actions to alleviate the natural gas energy burden on Coloradans.

DENVER - Today, Governor Jared Polis appointed Meegan A. Miloud to the First Judicial District Court. The vacancy was created by the retirement of the Honorable Laura A. Tighe and is effective March 1, 2023.
DENVER - Today, Governor Polis appointed Moses ‘Andre’ Stancil as executive director of the Department of Corrections (DOC). Stancil has been serving as interim executive director for DOC since December 2022.
DENVER – Today, Governor Polis and the Business Support division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced that 56 grants have been awarded to small businesses in Colorado through the Small Business Accelerated Growth Program. These $5,000 grants will help small business owners across the state, from Morgan County to Alamosa County, implement financial practices that can help them secure loans and other forms of capital to grow their businesses.

DENVER - Today, the Polis-Primavera administration announced that the Property Tax, Rent, Heat (PTC) Rebate is now available to Colorado residents based on income, including people with disabilities and older adults, to help with their property tax, rent, and/or heat expenses this winter and beyond. The rebate amount can be up to $1,044 a year for applicants.
