DENVER – Today, Governor Polis, Lt. Governor Primavera,  and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) formally announced that Zivaro, an information technology company that specializes in serving government and national defense partners, has selected Colorado Springs, Colorado for expansion. There, the company’s new business unit will focus on modernizing legacy systems that serve Space and Command Control Programs operated by and on behalf of the U.S. Government. These more flexible technology solutions will help the Government continue to keep up with the pace of change required in today’s operating environment.

DENVER -  This November, Coloradans overwhelmingly re-elected Governor Jared Polis and Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera to a second term and today the Governor announced that the majority of the gubernatorial senior staff will return as the administration enters a new term in 2023. 

DENVER — Today, Governor Jared Polis and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment announced that Colorado’s unemployment rate declined in November to 3.5%. Colorado’s unemployment rate remains below the national unemployment rate of 3.7%. Colorado’s strong labor market added 4,300 good-paying jobs in November in industries including education and health services, financial activities, and professional and business services, and job growth continues to outpace the U.S.

DENVER – Today, the Polis administration, the Outdoor Equity Grant Board, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife announced the recipients of over $1.3 million in Outdoor Equity Grants to break down barriers to the outdoors and increase access to Colorado’s outdoor opportunities for youth. 

DENVER - Today, the Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC) released the ninth annual Talent Pipeline Report, which analyzes and explains labor market information, highlights talent development strategies, and provides data-informed opportunities to enhance the talent pipeline in Colorado.

DENVER — Today, Governor Polis appointed Inga H. Causey to the Eagle County Court in the 5th Judicial District. The vacancy was created by the appointment of the Honorable Rachel J. Olguin-Fresquez to the 5th Judicial District Court and is effective immediately. 

DENVER — Today, Governor Polis signed an Executive Order amending and extending the current COVID-19 disaster declaration that includes RSV, influenza, and other respiratory illnesses. The disaster declaration allows agencies to continue to access state and federal funding for recovery efforts, to rapidly respond to changes in the public health environment, and to support the healthcare system to remain appropriately staffed and prepared to respond to public health. The amendments expand the scope of practice for medical professionals to allow for additional flexibility to treat patients and to make beds and providers available to treat pediatric patients.

DENVER- Today, the Polis-Primavera administration and Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) announced that over $130 million in grant opportunities supporting behavioral health care are now available for eligible parties to apply. The grant programs focus on implementing innovative, data-driven behavioral health strategies that meet the needs of individual communities and expanding crime prevention. As part of these grant opportunities, the BHA has partnered with Colorado Health Institute to provide technical assistance to applicants through the community behavioral health services toolkit which will support navigating the application process and creating the most effective projects for each community. 

Automobile Theft Prevention Board

The board shall solicit and review applications for grants that assist in improving and supporting automobile theft prevention programs or programs for the enforcement or prosecution of automobile theft crimes through statewide planning and coordination.
