DENVER, March 15, 2020: To best protect public health, the Colorado Department of Health and Environment is recommending that Coloradans follow the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance released today. The guidance states that the CDC “recommends that for the next eight weeks, organizers (whether groups or individuals) cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States.”
DENVER, March 15, 2020: The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) confirmed 30 new positive cases in Colorado, based on overnight test results. That brings the total number of positive cases to date to 131. Following CDC, all presumptive positive cases are now considered positive. CDC is no longer performing confirmatory testing.
DENVER, March 15, 2020: Due to extensive spread of COVID-19 in a number of mountain resort communities, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) strongly recommends that anyone who lives in or has visited those communities in the past week minimize their contact with other people, in order to reduce the spread of the virus.

EPCPH and the Colorado Department of Public Health (CDPHE) are releasing this information in the interest of public health. EPCPH will have media availability at 3 p.m. at the Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management, 3755 Mark Dabling Blvd.
DENVER, March 14, 2020: Due to high-volume, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) has closed the drive-up testing site at the Denver Coliseum for the rest of the day today, Saturday, March 14. The line was cut off at 200 cars today.

Denver (March 13, 2020): Per direction from Governor Polis, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is restricting all visitors at skilled nursing, assisted living, and intermediate care facilities to protect the health of the residents and health care workers at those facilities. These facilities provide care to older Coloradans with underlying health conditions.
